Welcome to Gossip AI. By accessing or using our platform at gossipai.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before creating an account or using any features of the platform.

01Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Gossip AI ("the Platform," "the Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Gossip AI ("we," "us," "our").

02Description of Service

Gossip AI is an AI-powered social and communication platform that provides the following features and services:

• AI Chat: Private conversations with an advanced AI assistant (powered by Anthropic's Claude), capable of providing advice, brainstorming, entertainment, and general conversation.
• Gossip Mode: A unique feature allowing users to anonymously request that AI check on another user. The AI initiates a natural conversation with the target user without ever revealing the identity of the person who requested the check-in.
• Group Chat with AI: Users can create group conversations with multiple members. Gossip AI is automatically available in every group — members can invoke AI by typing @ai in the group chat.
• Direct Messaging: Private one-on-one messaging between users with support for text, media, and voice notes.
• Media Sharing: Upload and share images, videos, documents, and other files within DMs and group chats.
• Voice Notes: Record and send audio messages with pause, resume, and auto-send functionality in both DMs and groups.
• Social Networking: Friend requests, follower system, user discovery, profile management, and notifications.
• Subscription Plans: Tiered access to features through Free, Basic, Pro, and Premium plans.

03Account Registration & Eligibility

To use Gossip AI, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information including a valid email address, display name, and unique username. You agree to:

• Be at least 13 years of age to create an account
• Provide truthful and accurate information during registration
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Create only one account per person (multiple accounts are prohibited)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or are used for fraudulent purposes.

04Subscription Plans & Billing

Gossip AI offers four tiers of service with increasing features and capabilities:

Paid subscriptions are processed through Flutterwave payment gateway. Yearly plans offer discounted rates. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice.

05User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree to use Gossip AI responsibly and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Platform to harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any person
• Share illegal, obscene, defamatory, or harmful content through any feature
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Impersonate other users, public figures, or organizations
• Use Gossip Mode for stalking, surveillance, or gathering information for malicious purposes
• Upload malware, viruses, trojans, or any harmful code through media sharing
• Send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or chain messages
• Attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Platform
• Create automated accounts, bots, or scripts to access the Platform beyond the provided API
• Share content depicting child exploitation, extreme violence, or terrorism
• Use the Platform for any illegal activity under applicable law

06Gossip Mode — Special Provisions

Gossip Mode is a unique feature designed to facilitate caring, anonymous check-ins between users. By using Gossip Mode, you understand and agree that:

• Your identity as the initiator will never be revealed to the target user by the AI
• Gossip Mode is intended for benevolent check-ins, not surveillance or harassment
• We may review gossip tasks for compliance with these Terms
• Abuse of Gossip Mode (including repeated unwanted check-ins) may result in feature restriction or account suspension
• Gossip Mode is available only on Basic, Pro, and Premium plans
• We reserve the right to disable Gossip Mode for any user at our sole discretion

07Group Chat — Rules & Responsibilities

Group owners and administrators bear responsibility for the content and conduct within their groups. Group-specific rules:

• Group owners are responsible for ensuring members comply with these Terms
• Owners and admins can add/remove members, assign roles (Admin, Moderator, Member), and manage group settings
• AI features in groups are subject to the message sender's individual subscription plan limits
• We may remove groups or restrict group features that violate these Terms
• Group creation limits are determined by your subscription plan

08Content Ownership & License

You retain full ownership of the content you create and share on Gossip AI, including text messages, images, videos, voice notes, and documents. By uploading content, you grant Gossip AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and transmit that content solely as necessary to provide and improve the Service. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account. You are solely responsible for the content you share and represent that you have the right to share it.

09AI Disclaimer

AI responses on Gossip AI are generated by machine learning models (Anthropic's Claude) and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. You acknowledge that:

• AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, biases, or inappropriate content
• AI should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice
• Gossip AI is not liable for actions taken based on AI-generated responses
• We continuously work to improve AI quality but cannot guarantee perfect accuracy
• AI does not have real-time access to external information unless specifically designed to do so

10Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes in detail how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11Intellectual Property

The Gossip AI name, logo, design, interface, code, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Gossip AI. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Platform without prior written consent. Third-party trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.

12Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the Platform. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately, and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Active paid subscriptions may not be refunded upon termination for Terms violations.

13Limitation of Liability

Gossip AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

14Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

15Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you may discontinue use and delete your account.
